‘Maltese company tried to broker $270 million arms deal between Libya and South Africa’ – The Malta Independent’ HERE

Due to the significance of the new revelations by Jacob Borg in his 20th August The Malta Independent’s article entitled Maltese company tried to broker $270 million arms deal between Libya and South Africa, we add this continuation. Coinciding with Mr. Borg’s article, we received an additional 15 unverified documents about Sam Serj & the Libyan Governments, UN and assets shipments from an anonymous source. The significance for us is that although denied in Libya– a Sam Serj & Tobruk Government/ HoR interlocking relationship continues to be reported on in the international media. Therefore, we release these unverified documents for the Libyan Citizenry’s scrutiny given that Mr. Borg’s article discusses a $270 million arms deal that Sam Serj “reportedly tried to broker an arms deal between the Libyan Ministry of Defence and the South African government.” Mr. Borg’s article:
Sam Serj describes itself as an import/export company active in the oil and gas trade. The company’s CEO has reportedly met South African president Jacob Zuma twice to discuss locating and repatriating the funds. A meeting held early this year in South Africa was attended by a number of Libyans, President Zuma and a South African businessman.
Mr Buishi claims to represent the Libyan government, although the internationally-recognised Tobruk parliament has dismissed him and others as “treasure hunters” who are seeking the Gaddafi fortune for personal gain. An official from Libya’s asset recovery board has said the documents presented by the Malta-based company Sam Serj to the South African government are counterfeit and false.
Sam Serj’s CEO denies this, saying his company is working on behalf of the Libyan government. The Malta-based company also reportedly tried to broker an arms deal between the Libyan Ministry of Defence and the South African government.

As “Mr Buishi claims to represent the Libyan government, although the internationally-recognised Tobruk parliament has dismissed him”, we decided to continue the article with the release a series of 15 new leaked documents purportedly about the relationship between Sam Serj and successive Libyan governments including the Tobruk Government/HoR. As we noted about Sam Serj in our 8 July 2015 article:

The subject of Sam Serj’s qualifications in the field of asset recovery becomes even more applicable today because of (1) On the 15th of April, Tobruk disavowed one asset recovery team without naming another, (2) Sam Serj’s prior assets recovery agreements with a Libyan Government, (3) Sam Serj’s declared current ties to Tobruk and (4) a new leaked 22nd of April document purportedly signed by the current Tobruk Government designating Sam Serj on a bank account for Libyan Assets. Yet unverified and without provenance, our extensive research on the politics around and content within – in the context of the ongoing saga of Libya’s Asset Recovery Scandal – indicates that this document leans toward creditable thus MUST be CONSIDERED and EXAMINED.
These unverified documents without provenance are merely a continuation of our article. With reference to the documents, our analysis is educated conjecture based on 9 solid research facts listed within the article. Our research is so solid and the issue is so important to the Libyan citizenry – this is why we considered documents without provenance. And although it was recently announced that both governments have finally agreed “to discuss the development of a plan to protect and restore Libyan assets,” YET, Sam Serj keeps surfacing in articles linked to Libya’s asset recovery. Therefore, we proceed cautiously while our research allows us the right to speculate in the What ifs… What if this document is real… The unverified documents are as we received them from an anonymous source.
