An Update from the Authors: Where are they now – we note that it is so important for the Libyan citizenry to know the background of any possible experts during the reconstruction, we note on the 22nd December 2015 & on 4th & 8th January 2016 that AmchamLibya President Richard H. Griffiths is noted as an EXPERT with Perim Associates, a consultancy – advisory group. Although, it seems his bio is no-longer on the site, we do note that under services on the WHAT WE DO page, Mr. Griffiths’ image is clearly displayed under Experts – therefore acknowledged as a CURRENT Perim Expert. As acknowledged as a Perim Expert until today, we retain the right to provide a 2014 Perim Associates bio for Mr. Griffiths from the bios list from Perim Associates from 2014 (left – date located on bottom screenshot) on 8 January 2015 – which also noted his Amchamlibya presidency.
We note the same image for Mr. Griffiths is displayed currently in both Amchamlibya and Perim sites (2014 & 2015). From the Amchamlibya site we could not determine the current status of his presidency. This is the Perim Associates PDF or our copy of Perim Associates’ PDF: Libya-North-Africa-Perim
We note that neither Mr. Griffiths or Mr. Igtet ever contacted The New Libya Report about this article.
We would also like to note that Perim Associates and its Director, Ethan Chorin have been our followers on Twitter. Like Perim and Dr. Chorin, we note our Twitter followers are a small group interested in Libya-specific topics. The followers include or have included international intellectuals within the fields of diplomacy (Western ambassadors and Embassies), finance, security- risk, business, academia, (international and Washington DC think-tanks) regional politicians as well as the Libyan Society. We are pleased to mention that our followers include or have included editors and journalists from: AFP, AP, The Guardian, BBC, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, The New Yorker, Huffington Post, Maghreb Confidential, France 24, Middle East Eye, Libya Al Hurra, Alwasat, Bloomberg, Radio France, Libya Herald and New York Times. We also received over a 100 views of our 40~ articles from EU political institutions as designated by their EU server.
